Kadaj is such a beautiful, little broken thing when you write him. I like the way he's picking up on everyone but himself, answering to everyone but himself. Still. He doesn't want to go to Sephiroth but does, tells Cloud no but still lets the man lead him closer, tries to match himself to Sephiroth even though he's terrified by the prospect. He's so terrified by the nightmare at the end of the hall it never occurs to him the man might not be what Jenova showed him. The moment of struck crystal clarity and first meeting between them was wonderfully bittersweet.
