There was some confusion over what exactly he was doing, but we think he was drawing them on. (Because the mental image of Kimbley filing his nails is really creepy.) I'm told they were drawn on blue in Ishbal, but I haven't double-checked, so this whole thing might be FAKE. Which would make me sad.
