the sealing array probably includes some component to amplify the effects of the bones. I'm gonna get screencaps of the room and possibly make a small-scale reconstruction. It looks remarkably similar to the array for the Stone, though, so I'm very curious. *has a fascination with arrays*
Other times, it's waaaaaay over sitting on that barrel Yeah, but note that when he went to what he knew would be a fight (meeting up with Envy) the skull was nowhere to be found. Even if it's at a distance, he only keeps it nearby when he's with family. (And I can bet Kimbley was staring at it, but I suspect it was in the safe just to keep it safe while he did things where it would be a liability. If he were hiding it from Kimbley, how would the man know where to find it?)
I wonder if his hand bones might also be especially potent? I still think decay is slowed/stopped in the more important parts of his skeleton, so I'll rewatch that part of the episode (no further! Wah!) and see what's decayed and what isn't.
doesn't notice that Kimbley hates him. Judging by his shock at Kimbley's betrayal, I'd agree. Mmm, but I think there must be something on Kimbley's side as well; he'd see it as bettering himself, getting back to where he can blow things up on a more regular basis and rubbing his general existance in the faces of his former colleauges - but note that he doesn't do anything to Greed's skull, even though he probably knew it was a huge weakness. (Awwwww!)
I wish I had the training (and the information about grave conditions, etc.) to make a more educated guess about this. Me too. Clearly we need to hijack a med student and ask strange questions they can't answer. XD
I think he may have been more surprised at when and who (especially since he doesn't identify the Lyra-body as really being Dante). Thus further proving our Greed-is-unobservant-and-doesn't-think-much theory. XD Silly boy didn't even realize Dante wouldn't still be alive after 140 years. As for the stones - I believe yes, they get used up. The stones are what power the homunculi's powers, like Envy's shape-shifting and Lust's claws. They can ignore mass laws using the stones. However, they did once exist without stone; no homunculi has come through the Gate with stone in its tummy. It's just not a state Greed would want to be in, I suspect. (Has he even given it this much thought? ^^; He's so...)
armor decays eventually and he's probably got no soul to affix to it anyway. *snicker* Evidence for "Greed is silly", exhibit B...
He's probably a bit bored of himself, actually, after a couple centuries. FICBUNNY AUGH.
I'm really not impressed by photographic memory (at least in fictional characters). Agreed! I completely believe in retaining the content and not the order the words appeared on the page. God, I wish we knew Kimbley's IQ. He's gotta be a genuis-child, to make these kinds of connections - I can't really blame him for being insane. He must be so bored. And then prison - oh, the poor dear. *hugs him*
I am going to ignore your cracked-out theory. *kicks away the rabid ficbunnies*
I think Kimbley would be from a rural background, but near a town/city of some kind. He would be lower-middle class, probably taught himself to read, and I still have no idea how he got the alchemy books. Oh! Maybe he shoplifted one (he seems the type to hang with a crowd that would pressure him into doing that kind of thing) and read it for the hack of it and found it really interesting? Hmmm.
I do not understand his domination/submission act. I need to rewatch and figure out if there's a kind of person he submits to, because he sure as hell isn't submitting to an organization; he doesn't really seem to believe in vague concepts like "military"; he knows it always boils down to the one guy that signed the paper. And he can blow that guy up.
no subject
