To avoid spamming your e-mail I'm going to try and fit all my squee here in one place.
Firstly, I love the indulgence of this story. Any excuse for Starscream to get more awesome and competent, and maybe even a little bit happy, is wonderful in my book. I particularly love the hints of culture toward the end. The ritual and joy of a trine bond. The seekers singing! And that it's enough of a celebration, of a step away from the ordinary and from the day to day of the war, that they can, at least for the moment, welcome one of the enemy to share in the joy.
Secondly, for They Will Never Dance Alone, I adore this story. I never looked one way or the other at the twins before this, but I do believe that this story has made a convert of me. The two of them are just so sharp edged and jaggedly beautiful as they're written here that I couldn't resist. Another thing I really enjoyed about this story is the language, the play with words and meanings and names. Demanding Optimus's response when they weren't satisfied with Prime's. The difference between 'anything they want' and 'anything they need'. Prime being political, and insightful, and dedicated to his followers as much as, or maybe even a little more then, the cause was lovely to see.
Lastly, the recs are very, very neat and appreciated. I'm still taking delight in working my way through them.
